Gautam Chikermane

Gautam Chikermane an author and columnist, tracks the unholy trinity of money, power and faith. He is currently the New Media Director of Reliance Industries Ltd and a columnist with First Post. His last book, ‘The Disrupter: Arvind Kejriwal and the Audacious Rise of the Aam Aadmi’, was published in April 2014 by Rupa Publications, with whom he is working on a subaltern trilogy on the Mahabharata. In 1997, he wrote ‘Five Decades of Decay’, again with Rupa. Earlier, he has served in leadership positions in India’s top newspapers — Executive Editor (Business) of Hindustan Times, Editor (Special Projects) of The Indian Express, Executive Editor of The Financial Express, and Executive Editor of Outlook Money. A Jefferson Fellow, he has served three terms as Director of Financial Planning Standards Board India and one as its Vice Chairman.
