Developing Scientific Temperament Among Girls
DONATE AND SAVE TAX
Unfortunately, many people in our country think that girls are less suitable for learning science and mathematics, resulting in depriving them of developing a logical and analytical bent of mind, and their dreams of becoming an engineer, doctor, pilot, architect and more.
Teachers, remain largely incapable and often reluctant to correct this perception, leading to poor academic performances in science and mathematics, especially girls.
CARE India’s Teachers Resource Laboratory project in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh works with upper primary grade (6th to 8th) teachers to:
- train and build capacity
- provide various tools to help teach maths and science
- create an interest and enthusiastic participation within children
- curb gender stereotypes that girls can’t learn math and science
We would like to expand the reach of this programme to other districts in Uttar Pradesh and other states.
We seek your support to teach maths and science to the poorest and most marginalized girls in our country by providing experiment table, books, science and mathematics kit and others etc.
Your contribution to their future will reward you with 50% tax exemption under IT Section 80 G.
