The recent torrential rainfall has been lashing Bihar, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, causing severe localised damage and hardship. Women and adolescent girls are most vulnerable and face difficulty managing menstrual hygiene post-disaster, which can cause severe diseases.
CARE India is providing relief to flood affected people in Purnia district (Bihar), Raigad district (Maharashtra) and Jalaun district (Uttar Pradesh) by providing them relief kits, including 24 essential items like soaps, towel, change of clothes, sanitary napkin, washable baby napkin etc along with water purification tablets and bleaching powder.
CARE has been responding to disasters in India for more than 70 years. There is an urgent need for sanitation and hygiene items for flood-affected households who have lost their essentials during the flood.
We urge you to please come forward and support the families in need.
