National Science Day

National Science Day on 28^th February 2019, was celebrated in Uttar Pradesh, by teachers  and students of Teachers’ Resource Laboratory (TRL) project at Regional Science City. In 2019 the theme for National Science Day was “Science for people and people for science”.

Children and  teachers from government upper primary schools visited Regional Science City at Lucknow.  Underprivileged children enrolled in Government upper primary schools visited Regional Science city, Lucknow which is working for popularization of science & make audience understand application of science in day to day life. Students got awareness and scientific temper through Sci-fi shows, information about robotics, understanding application of different theoretical concepts of science and opportunity for deeper interest in science. The visit made students more inquisitive, developed probing and problem-solving skills. They got a sense of using technology in the field of Science and Mathematics.

214 students and 32 teachers participated from district TRLs of Bahraich, Gonda, Faizabad, Lucknow and Kanpur Nagar. During exposure visit students and teachers enjoyed SCIMAX show, 3D show, Prehistoric park and discussed about different models. A workshop on day to day Science and robotics was specially organized for teachers and students. Mr. Ajay Singh, Joint Direct, SCERT (SSA) was present to further motivate the students and teachers and appreciated students’ interest in science.
