CARE India’s COVID Emergency Response

CARE India will support ongoing government & Interagency efforts in catalyzing a Rapid Response to COVID focused on marginalized women, girls, woman-headed households and elderly women.

Currently, CARE India’s 1400+ team is deployed in Bihar assisting the state Gov’t in its COVID 19 response. CARE India has earmarked Rs. 50 Lakhs from its reserves to kickstart the CARE India COVID Response in India.

Three program packages integral to CARE India response plan are as:

• Support Government, Private Health Providers & Frontline Health Workers
• Direct benefits and livelihood support to the most economically vulnerable households
• Support to Community in adopting appropriate preventive practices, hygiene behaviours and creating linkages to testing and treatment services for COVID 19
