Swapna Samuel is the Sr. Director – Human Resources & OD at CARE India. She holds Post Graduate degree in Personnel Management, an alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. She has over 27 years of experience in HR and OD across diverse cultures and organisations in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Caribbean. Prior to joining CARE India, she has worked in leadership roles in Foundation & international NGOs like Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership, Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, ICCO, Plan International (India Chapter), Oxfam, Habitat for Humanity& Leprosy Mission.
Swapna is recognised as a passionate people’s person leading her voice within the sector for people development and HRbest practices. Her expertise lies in developing people strategy, HR vision setting, organisation change management, organisation & leadership development, developing HR Policies & best practices, conflict resolution, setting culture strategy, statutory compliance & legal expertise. She has led critical HR, Donor & Child protection Audits with high assurance outcomes. She has anchored and led Child protection compliance, Gender and PoSH committees in the past.
