The Hans Foundation

CARE India and the Hans Foundation collaborated in 2015, and initiated a three-year strategy to collaborate with the Bihar state government to address the needs of out-of-school children:
a) By creating onsite special training centre models for out-of-school children, especially girls, in selected districts of Bihar and
b) Facilitate systemic preparedness to comprehensively address educational issues surrounding Out-of-school children at the state level and district level.
In the first year, CARE India intervened in only the residential mode of special training centers, for out-of-school children that reach out to students (especially girls) in the age group of 10-14 from a cluster of five or less villages. From year 2 onwards, it will cover both residential and non-residential centers in selected districts.
