Implementation of systematic initiatives to mitigate the risk of disasters and training the communities to deal with the emergencies in future.

CARE India’s Preparedness initiative works in adherence with the principles and standards for humanitarian accountability, knowledge generation and collected evidence on good practices through post-action reviews, post-distribution monitoring and complaint & feedback mechanism. Our capacity to respond in an effective and timely manner is ensured by pre-positioning relief items, contingency funds, national and state emergency preparedness plans, and building the capacities of staff on emergency roster and that of local NGO partners.
