Dr. Hemant Shah is the Chief of Party (BTSP). He holds an MS in General Surgery, an M.Sc. (Public Health in Developing Countries) from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK; Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management from IGNOU. He has worked in the capacity of Director, SRU (State RMNCH+A Unit) in Bihar prior to taking up the role of Chief of Party. He worked as a maternal health expert in Integrated Family Health Initiative (IFHI) project and lead the Quality Improvement work in health facilities in Bihar. In the past, he has been a deputy director in Bhansali Trust. Hemant Shah is associated with number of academic institutes. He is board member of the Institutional Ethics Committee of Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar.
